For both of those problems, the solution might be changing the recording format (configuration).
Open the app’s menu > top left corner click the settings icon > then click Recorder > Recording Format > change the configurations (start with changing to 6, 1 & 2 since they are the most common ones).
If none of them work, keep in mind that this feature simply can’t work on some devices, your device might be one of them.
